It's a quiet day at the house. As the last week of Lent approaches, I'm determined to rest...sounds odd, doesn't it? In all that I have left to do before we start school again, I'm faced with the choice of being frantic or resting in the Lord's presence. Not that I wont get things done, I'll just do them while in the Lord's company, being mindful of Him. That's the choice I want to make, no matter what the day holds.

May the God of hope
fill you with all joy and peace
as you trust in him,
so that you may overflow with hope
by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13 NIV
Here's a song that's been speaking to me this week. (Don't forget to pause the player first.) Enjoy!
Thanks for the reminder, K. I get pretty busy running ahead of Him in my effort to please Him.
ReplyDeleteTaking time for rest and quiet... doesn't sound odd to me at all. In fact, it sounds quite inviting.
ReplyDeleteI have plans to do the same thing this next week, take extra time to quiet myself and rest before Him.
We'll just be "odd" together.
